The first rolling papers were officially produced in 1736 in Alcoy, Spain, and were called Pay Pay. Since then, manufactures have invented a wide array of new, fun, inventive, and unique rolling papers. Here are a few of my favorites.
1. $100 Bill Rolling Papers
I know what you’re thinking – that picture is just of $100 bill. Not true! This is actually a rolling paper and it has the most advance printing of any rolling paper I’ve seen. It’s made by Empire Papers, and it’s pretty much guaranteed to make a statement anywhere you pull one of these out. Still not convinced it’s a rolling paper and not actual currency? Here’s a shot of it rolled up in all its glory.
At $55 for a 12-pack, these papers probably aren’t going to be your go-to for daily smoking. On the other hand, if you are trying to make a big impression the Shine Papers is the only way to go. These are super flashy and almost a guaranteed conversation piece. They are made from high quality edible gold.
Do you love smoking joints, but are afriad they look a bit conspicuous? You may want to give Urban wraps a try. Urban wraps have a printed design that mimics the look of a cigarette.
4. Transparent / Clear
It’s not alway the rolling paper that matters. It’s whats on the inside the counts. Wanna show off what you’ve got on inside your papers? Try using transparent papers. They are made of plant cellulos and are 100% natural.
Are you looking to add a bit of flavor to your joint? Juicy Jay’s has you covered. You probably knew that flavored papers exist, but did you know how many flavors are available? They are currently producing over 30 different flavors. With a wide selection of fruit, menthol, candy, and everything in between you are sure to find a flavor to fits your pallet. In addition to the flavor you also get a colorful printed paper that corresponds to the flavor.
6. Papers on a Roll
Has anyone been wondering if we’re going to showcase king size papers? Nope! Rolls are an even better solution to the bigger joint problem. Yeah, you can buy a pack of 12-inch king sizes papers -OR- you can buy a a giant 15 foot rolling paper that you can cut to any size you want. Use it to smoke a regular sized joint or roll up a few 5 footers for your next party. You can also get plastic cases for the roll that makes carrying and cutting super easy.
7. Papers with Pouches
Ever get tired of your herb falling out the ends when you’re trying to roll a joint? Here is a rolling paper that can be useful to beginners and seasoned rollers alike. Pouch brand rolling papers comes with a sealed pouch. You can easily load your herb without loosing any from the ends.
8. Pre-rolled Cones
Cones come pre-rolled so all you have to do is stuff it full of herb. With cones, you don’t have to worry about wonky shaped joints that are prone to runs.
9. Credit Card Rolling Papers
Rolling Card has designed packaging for rolling papers that has the look and size of a credit card. The card can be inconspicuously carried in a wallet without getting damaged so you always have rolling papers nearby.
Don’t you hate it when you get down to the roach of a joint and you end up burning your finger? We’ve all been there – walking around with burn on the tip of only our thumb and pointer finger. Perhaps you may like Randy’s wired rolling papers. As the joint burns the wire is exposed and can be used as a roach holder.
